The Phoenix are stoked to announce an epic lineup of musical talent featuring:
Twisted State of Mind
A band with a reputation for high energy live shows, Twisted State Of Mind have been playing their own unique brand of hard rock since they were 11 years old. Now, aged 17 they’ve gigged widely in the UK and the US, and in December 2014 secured a record deal with Philadelphia based Toil Records. They’ve recorded their first album which is due for release early 2016. The album has been produced by legendary producer Chris Tsangarides.
Metal Underground magazine wrote of their live show “I was blown away by their performance as they fully engaged with the audience “. Nightshift magazine described their live performance as being “possessed by the spirit of 80’s thrash metal and kick it out full throttle with theatrical zeal – rock music, it seems, is in safe hands”.
Experimental hardcore/Nintendocore band from Watford/Chesham. With their blend of punk, tech-metal, and 8-bit chiptune synths, Jumpman always brings an intense, bizarre and energetic performance whenever they emerge from the fiery depths of the Mushroom Kingdom where they dwell.
Silent Mode. Bound to be quiet, right? WRONG. Hailing from Farnborough, Hampshire this desert / Astro rock duo goes against absolutely everything their name suggests.
Second Sons are a 3 piece blues rock band from South Wales. The current lineup, formed in July 2017, consists of Lewis (lead vocals/lead guitar), Owen (bass/vocals) & Shane (drums). All heavily influenced by various bands and artists such as Rush, Iron Maiden, & Led Zeppelin to name a few, the band were together for a mere 3 days before playing their first gig in July 2017 and were received very well by their local crowd in Swansea. The band always bring a tremendous amount of energy and passion to the stage, and it shows through the music they have written and how they perform and deliver that music on stage. Powerful riffs, hard-hitting drum beats, and vocals which have been described as unique & very rush/zeppelin influenced, this band have a little bit of everything, and have that something that many have said cannot be missed. Most importantly, they all have fun whilst performing. The band is working hard to get recorded material released in the early months of 2018, with a few other cool things planned for the rest of the year.
Following the success of their first gig, the band went on to play a further 14 shows between July & December 2017, and by the 10th day of January, had already booked a further 12 shows between January & May 2018, including out of town shows in Wolverhampton, Birmingham & not to forget, The Phoenix! See you there!
Get down early and indulge in the plethora of talent on display.
